Graphic Harvesting in Limerick for the National Outdoor Recreation Conference, 2025

Lets have a look back on the Visual Notes that I created for the National Outdoor Recreation Conference, 2025. I was delighted to be creating Live Illustrations, in Limerick, my hometown.

This conference was looking at outdoor recreation from all sides of the table. Farmers, Community groups, Ornithologists, Hikers, Governing Bodies - They all came together to discuss how to make Outdoor Recreation in Ireland more sustainable.

I illustrated the key points of each panel discussion, key-note & presentation. Through the power of colourful markers, and visual story telling, I illustrated a vibrant visual summary of the day. My favourite speakers (and I’m being totally biased) were Ellie Berry & Seán Ronayne. Both hugely inspirational speakers with a grá for ticking of lists. Ellie has walked every way marked trail in Ireland (plus some) and Seán has recorded the bird song of every species of bird in Ireland. It was a joy to capture both their colourful through graphic recording.

Graphic harvesting was a brilliant way to document the key messages of the event. Participants were super engaged with the Live Illustration, they were queuing up to take a picture of my board by the end of day.
